"We're a family of four who just returned from a 12-day tour with Exploration Journeys. It was excellent in every way; we chose which cities we would like to visit and preferred duration of the tour.
The itinerary was well planned and supported by Fred & his team behind the scenes and making sure we had everything we needed or wanted along the way: we felt coddled!
Argentina Exploration Journeys was not only outstanding but deserved an extra-ordinary review. We booked our international flights, and they took care of the rest - hotels, transfers, in-country air including seat selection, private and small-group tours and most importantly - local guides. Everything was well-done, and we felt that we not only hit all the tourist sites that were important to us, but that we also were exposed to the "real" people and lives in Argentina.
All of the guides were locals who had excellent depth of knowledge and had experience far beyond their tourism jobs. We came away feeling that we were leaving not just guides, but new friends.
We cannot recommend Fred & his team more! I was slightly nervous about visiting Argentina with the current inflation and having to fly 36 hours to Argentina from our country in Far East but I assure you there is absolutely nothing to be worried about! We felt completely safe and in the hands of professionals at all times.
We have never done this before, we are independent travelers who usually rent a car, find our own lodging, etc. But Argentina is different and Exploration Journeys made it so easy! This took away all the stress.
In the mid of the tour, we had a flight delayed and subsequently cancelled due to heavy storm in Buenos Aires, but Fred was fast and took preventive measures to inform us early in the morning at 4 AM, checking possible alternative plans and booking us the needed flights to secure availability, even way before our original flight was cancelled. This was crucial action to solve the issue in order to minimize disruption on our original itinerary.
But once again, Fred & his team never failed to impress us with their responsive, high-efficiency and professionalism. Not only our trip was perfect, we got to enjoy the extra night at our favorite city with an additional tour, which we greatly appreciated.
We also loved the Travel Booklet with all the information of the tour: pick-up time, local contact, hotel facilities and good restaurant recommendations in each city.
I believe they're not the cheapest tour operator around, but choice of accommodation & quality of services already surpasses what we have paid for.
We highly recommend Exploration Journeys for the trip of a life-time."
